The Laser MicroJet® also processes solar photovoltaic (PV) cells with the objective of covering the maximum of a given surface and thus improving the energy exploitation. 

Using the Laser MicroJet®, PV cells are cut without any influence on electrical efficiency, chipping, slag, burrs, mechanical stress or heat damages. 

This technology can be used for omni-directional cutting, drilling, scribing, grooving, edge grinding, thinning, and marking.  Specific applications have been developed for thin PV cells.
